Conquest was the greatest villain in the Invinciverse. No doubt. In my mind, Invincible's battles with Conquest cannot be topped. Even the final sequence of the Viltrumite War fails to compare. The Viltrumite War sequence might compete with one of the Conquest battles, but not both. Not together. Conquest was the scariest dude Invincible's ever had to face. Ottley, you and Kirkman need to make more villains as cool as him. Dinosaurus is right up there, along with the Sequid Man. And Titan. Thragg's kind of lame. You hear about Thragg's power and scariness, but you don't feel it. He's just not all that intimidating. It's the mustache. (You can fix this, Ryan.) Oh, and Battle Beast is pretty awesome, but he doesn't really count as a villain. Wow. It's weird to list them out like this. Ultimately, I count four awesome villains. Four and a half if you include Angstrom Levy, but, despite what he did to the planet that time, he seems like more of an annoyance than anything. Droppin' portals like he's fightin' GlaDOS and shit. If you didn't have Allen, Nolan, Thaedus, Eve, Oliver, Robot, and Cecil, I don't know what I'd do. Go read Science Dog?
Screw it. This isn't even complaining. I feel like I just told you half the reasons I had for reading Invincible. I love it so much. And, despite its failure to compare with the Conquest battles, that final sequence of the Viltrumite War was completely and utterly epic. I want to buy those pages and hang them on my wall. Oh. Hey. Bring back the beards. Nolan and Co. need their facial fur.
That was too much typing. I would feel better if this qualified for Penvincipals.
Look at this man: [link] . Look long and hard. Stare into his eyes. Look into his soul. Take your time. Meditate on him. Then, after all your looking and gazing and staring, I want you to tell me exactly how afraid Freddie Mercury makes you feel.
